Celebrate spring renewal and mother’s day with fresh salad and dressing recipes. Fresh veggies and fruits, cheeses and herbs, all brought together with love. The salad and dressing recipes are recipes we have gathered and adjusted over the years. I am still working on salad and dressing recipes, but I wanted to make sure I got this post out so moms and spring could be celebrated! My favorite salad is the strawberry and almond salad. My wife and I made this salad when we first got married and have enjoyed it ever since.
Mix and match salad and dressing recipes
The cucumber and watermelon salad has a refreshing lime vinaigrette that can work on many salads. I like it on the strawberry salad because it contrasts the sweetness of that salad and pairs well with the fruit. Don’t hesitate to add your favorite fruits and veggies to any of the salads. They are so easily transformed and modified to make them a part of your family’s memories. Make them your own!
The Caesar salad
I have not posted the recipe for my Caesar salad but it is super easy to make. The dressing (the recipe is above) is tangy, garlicky, and creamy. Whenever I have it I feel energized from the tanginess. It is hard to explain the experience. Along with the dressing, use plain bagels cut into one to two inch pieces. Brush them with butter and toast them in the oven. Bagel pieces make wonderful croutons! Crunchy on the outside and chewy and soft in the middle. Cut romaine lettuce in two inch pieces and arrange them on a plate or bowl. Top with the bagel croutons and some shredded parmesan cheese. Top with the Caesar salad dressing and wham-o! An incredible salad! Add chicken or steak to elevate the experience!
