Looking for a fun and flavorful pizza that’s also vegetarian? You have to try this honey sriracha cauliflower pizza. We created this recipe on a whim one night, and it quickly became a family favorite. With roasted cauliflower, a sweet and spicy honey sriracha sauce, and a drizzle of cool ranch, this easy recipe is ready in about 40 minutes and is a surefire hit for any weeknight dinner.

What You Will Need:

  • 1 head of cauliflower cut into florets or a 1 pound bag of cut cauliflower
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/3 cup of honey
  • 2-4 tablespoons of sriracha
  • 1/2 cup of ranch
  • 8 ounces of shredded Monterey jack cheese
  • 1 large pizza dough to fit a tray 12 inches x 16 inches

The Dough for the Pizza

There are a couple of options for the honey sriracha pizza dough. You can purchase your dough at a local store in your area. Many grocery and specialty stores have pre-made dough for sale. Your other option is to make your own. Once you make fresh pizza dough once, you may always want fresh pizza dough. My pizza dough recipe is a short recipe that only takes an hour to rise. There are dough recipes that have overnight rising times. They are wonderful and if you have the time, try them out!

Whatever route you take for your dough, you will want to get enough for two eight inch pizzas or one large 16 x 12 inch pizza. I usually make the large 16 x 12 inch because there are four of us.

The Cauliflower

The cauliflower is roasted before it is put on the pizza. This is a roasting method I use for cauliflower, broccoli, and many other vegetables. The cauliflower florets can be purchased in a bag already cut up or you can cut up a head of cauliflower. The choice is yours. Place the cauliflower on a lined baking sheet, cover with olive oil, sea salt, and pepper. Mix it up on the baking sheet to make sure the cauliflower is coated. Bake at 350 F for 10 minutes. Set the pan aside until the sauce is mixed (that’s next!).

Mixing the Sriracha and Honey

There is not much to this step. Mix the sriracha and honey together in a bowl that will fit the sauce and the cauliflower. Once combined, add the roasted cauliflower and mix well to coat the cauliflower with the sauce. Once you mix the sauce together, taste it and see if you want it more spicy. If so, add some more sriracha sauce!

Assembling the pizza

Line your baking sheet or sheets and spread your pizza dough out. I usually put a touch of olive oil on my hands to help keep the dough from sticking. Once the dough is spread out, spread a layer of ranch dressing on the dough. I usually keep the layer on the thin side but the choice is up to you. I have a thick ranch dressing recipe if you want to try homemade ranch dressing. Ranch makes a great dipping sauce for the pizza too!

Next, spread the sauced cauliflower. I usually set the pieces on then sprinkle the sauce on. It makes it less messy. After that spread on the cheese. I use a monterey jack but you can use whatever cheese you like. Make it your own!

Bake the pizza at 425 degrees F for 8-10 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. I usually rotate the pizza half way through to ensure even baking. After the pizza is done cooking, let the pizza cool before slicing it. This is also a great vegetarian pizza the next day! Enjoy!

FAQ’s:

Is this recipe very spicy?

The recipe is adjustable! Start with two tablespoons of sriracha and add more to taste. The ranch dressing also helps to balance out the heat.

What’s a good substitute for Monterey Jack cheese?

Mozzarella or a blend of cheddar and mozzarella would be great options. Use any cheese you have on hand that melts well.

How do I store leftover pizza?

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Reheat in the oven or an air fryer for a crispy crust.

Can I add other toppings?

Absolutely! Consider adding chopped scallions, bell peppers, or jalapeรฑos to add more flavor and texture.
