This thick, delicious, and easy ranch dressing recipe just takes 10 minutes to make. It tastes so much better than store bought. A great last minute throw together if you run out of salad dressing or dip! It makes a great dip for pretzels, chips, and veggies. I have had a problem in the past with dressings being too thin or splitting, but not this one. This ranch dressing stays thick!
Ingredients for the ranch dressing recipe
The ingredients for this recipe are easily purchased at the grocery store if you do not have them on hand. They are nothing special. That is what makes this such a great recipe. The dill can be used fresh or dried. The rest of the ingredients can be used as in the recipe. I have not tested any other milk besides the buttermilk and the heavy whipping cream. Let me know if you do and how they turn out!
What else can I use ranch dressing for?
There are so many uses! Of course you can put it on salads but that is just the beginning! It is a staple for dipping your buffalo wings in. Substituting for sour cream on your baked potato is something we do at our house. My daughter and niece are fans of dipping their pizza in it. We also use ranch on my two ingredient turkey burger. I am sure you will find many uses for the ranch dressing.
Using the ranch dressing for salads
The ranch dressing recipe is a thick dressing recipe. I am sure that some would like a thinner salad dressing for their salads. It is very easy to thin this dressing out. You can use regular milk to thin it out to the consistency you like. Enjoy!
