4tablespoonsof butter
4tablespoonsof all purpose flour
1teaspoonof sea salt
1teaspoonof crushed black pepper
½teaspoonof garlic powder
½teaspoonof onion powder
2cupsof warm whole milk
½cupof sour cream
2cupsof shredded cheddar cheese
2cupsof shredded monterey jack cheese
12ouncesof uncooked pasta of your choice
Method
Boil pasta according to directions on the package.
While pasta is cooking, melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat.
Add flour, sea salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until combined and continue mixing for 1-2 minutes to cook off the raw flavor of the flour.
Slowly whisk in the warm milk. Continue cooking and whisking until the sauce thickens enough to coat the back of a spoon.
Remove from heat. Stir in the sour cream and shredded cheeses until fully melted and smooth.
Add the cooked pasta and toss to combine. Serve immediately.
