In ten minutes and seven ingredients you will have a blue cheese dressing ready dips, wings, salads, sandwiches, or anything else you care to use it on. My dad was a big blue cheese salad dressing fan. My parents used the off the shelf kind but there is nothing better than homemade blue cheese dressing. This is just as easy to make as my ranch dressing recipe. The dressing is thick so do not hesitate to add a little milk to thin it out if needed. We like a thick dressing so it sticks to veggies and wings. This is also a low carb, keto blue cheese dressing!
Blue cheese options
There are many types of blue cheese to choose from. Strong, crumbled, rind, no rind, the list goes on. I stuck with a crumbled blue cheese off of the shelf the first time I made this salad dressing. I did experiment with a combination of soft Amish blue cheese and a strong blue cheese with a rind. It did change the taste up a bit! If the amount of blue cheese is too much for the recipe then feel free to cut back on the amount of blue cheese you use. Make it your own!
Combining the ingredients
How do you make blue cheese dressing? Take all of the ingredients and combine them in a bowl! It is that easy. If you need the dressing in a rush and do not have time to chill it, don’t worry. The ingredients will get to know each other in time. Chilling in the fridge will give them more time to mingle, the dressing will thicken a touch, and the blue cheese will gain some momentum in the flavor realm. This is a thick dressing so if you like your dressing on the thinner side then do not hesitate to add a tablespoon or two of milk to thin it out.
