15 Minute Oven- Roasted Blistered Green Beans

These oven-blistered green beans are a quick and easy side dish ready in just 15 minutes. By pre-cooking the beans in the microwave and finishing them in a hot oven, you achieve a tender inside and a delicious, crispy outside. It is a simple, healthy addition to any family dinner.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz bag of fresh green beans
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon of sea salt
  • ½ teaspoon of cracked black pepper

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees F
  2. Place green beans on a paper towel lined microwave safe plate and microwave for one minute.
  3. Then place green beans on a lined baking sheet and coat with the olive oil, sea salt and pepper.
  4. Bake for five minutes, mix the beans up, then bake five to six minutes longer.
  5. Serve soon after baking.

Notes

Want them extra crispy? Roast at 425°F for 10-15 minutes, shaking the pan halfway through.

  • Reheating: To revive the crispiness, reheat them in an air fryer or toaster oven for a few minutes. Microwaving leftovers will result in softer beans.
