Pineapple Pretzel Fluff Recipe

I first had this pineapple pretzel fluff recipe when my wife and I started dating. We have been making it for family functions ever since!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of coarsely crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup of melted butter
  • 1 cup of sugar divided
  • 1 - 8 oz package of cream cheese room temperature
  • 1 - 20 oz can of drained crushed pineapple removing as much of the liquid as possible
  • 1 - 12 oz container of cool whip

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
  • Combine pretzels, melted butter, and 1/2 cup of sugar in a bowl. Press mixture in a 9 x 13 or 8 x 8 pan and bake for seven minutes, or until bubbly and and spread throughout the pan. Let baked pretzel mixture cool. Once cool, crumble and place in an air tight container or zip lock bag.
  • Beat cream cheese and remaining 1/2 cup of sugar until creamy. Fold in drained pineapple and cool whip. Chill until ready to serve.
  • When ready to serve, mix in pretzel mixture.

Notes

If you are going to make the fluff ahead of time, be sure to keep the pretzel mixture separate. Add the mixture when you are ready to serve. The pretzel mixture will get soggy if you make it too far ahead of time.
