Equipment

  • 1 mixing bowl
  • 1 parchment lined baking tray
  • 1 cooling rack

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon of chia seeds
  • ¼ cup of warm water
  • 1 cup of fine almond flour
  • 1-½ tablespoons of melted butter
  • ½ teaspoon of sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder

Instructions

  • Mix the warm water and chia seeds together in a bowl and let set for 15 minutes.
  • While the chia seeds are soaking up the water, combine the other ingredients.
  • After the chia seeds have rested, combine them with the flour mixture and combine well.
  • Roll out the dough between two pieces of parchment paper to roughly ⅛ inch or thinner.
  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F
  • Score the dough into squares and then let the dough chill in the fridge for around 15 minutes. This will allow the dough to not be so soft and you will be able to transfer the crackers to a parchment lined baking sheet.
  • Bake crackers on a parchment lined baking sheet for 7-8 minutes.
  • After baking, transfer the crackers to a cooking rack. Repeat the baking process if necessary.
